Crited on your desktop

The same product as the web app. What it adds is a window of its own: agent runs keep going when you close the lid, crited:// links open the right project instead of whichever browser is in front, and updates install themselves.

Is it different from the web app?

No, and deliberately. Your projects, specifications and history are the same records either way, so you can start something in the browser and carry on in the app without exporting anything.

Signed and notarised

The macOS build is signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarised by Apple, so it opens without warnings. The Windows build is not yet signed, so SmartScreen will warn you the first time; choose “More info” and then “Run anyway” if you are comfortable with that, or use the web app until we have a certificate.

What it can reach

The window can only navigate to Crited and the sign-in and payment providers it hands off to. Everything else opens in your own browser, where you can see the address. The page inside has no access to your file system.
